TS9000/A FM Broadcast Analyser

The TS9000/A is a high performance FM receiver and Modulation Analyser providing Broadcast measurements. It runs from and is powered by a USB port, allowing on-site or mobile monitoring. The unit samples the Multiplex signal at 240kHz at 12bits precision. This data is passed via the USB cable to the PC, where all measurements and calculations are performed in Windows software. Modulation Power is calculated with 32bit floating-point precision. The band covered is 87.5 to 107.9MHz in 10kHz steps, with a software switchable attenuator for high signal strength areas.

FFT Spectrum Analyser:
The unit includes a precision base-band FFT Spectrum Analyser covering 10Hz to 100kHz with a range of 80dB and a resolution of 20Hz. This can be used to inspect the Multiplex signal or as a stand-alone audio analyser using the external BNC input. Various sample windows can be applied i.e. Hanning, Hamming, Blackman-Harris etc, providing a versatile measurement instrument.

Multiplex signal accuracy:

A new LC IF equalization circuit ensures a flat frequency response.
A 5 pole Butterworth filter provides out of band suppression.
Bandwidth: 20Hz to 80kHz < -0.4dB 100kHz < -1.5dB
Deviation accuracy: 0 to 75kHz  < +/-1.5% (1kHz test sinusoid)

RDS decoding:

Decodes PI,PTY,PS,RT,CT,PIN,AF,TA,TP,DI,MS and EON.

Audio:

High quality stereo audio monitoring is provided with balanced outputs.
Line output: -59dBm to +4dBm via XLR
Loudspeaker: 0.5 watts/channel
Headphone: 0dBm on 3.5mm jack
